People may try to paint you black(with competition) to kill your vision but understand they are not playing healthy game but you can be different if you move forward by using expained tips and just grow up then kid while implementation.
I have a friend from CS and I am from ECE .......he use software like visual studio even whatsapp like as if he is playing game .....similar to as we play GTA sanandreas ...in which their are hundreds of cheat code .....which is easy to remember by any if one enjoy and spend lot of time with that game.But have you ever think you are the God as you know all that cheat code ?.....i think no ,Nor I and nor we should if we want to act like a grown up and enjoy something different everyday..........But my friend feel that he is a God and he never tell you the cheat code which is as simple as generating shit!. dont know why nor want to as his this behaviour is kiddish !................and once you get inspired from this behaviour you may trap yourself into his world which is very very kiddish and can be your demotion................ so avoid This Hurdle and just filter core tip from him which is "Use software's like visual studio like a game" and negative experience from him like a black and white painting and move forward with loving him too anyway.And then just act nicely and wisely.
